Veierland is an island which belongs to the Nøtterøy town since the early 1960’s. Mainly, this island is popular for its recreational attractions, such as rambling and cycling, but also for its scenic attractions and sailing possibilities. Furthermore, the island of Veierland hosts various formations dating from the Iron Age. Veierland is a highly visited place, but it is also populated and various institutions can be found on the island, such as schools, churches and shops.
