This new bridge is as fresh as 2005. It was built as a highway over the Idde Fjord. The bridge stretches about 704 metres and the medium span of the bridge is around 247 meters. The New Svinesund Bridge was built in concrete, composed of one arch only and having two strong steel bridge decks on each of the sides of the concrete arch. The New Svinesund Bridge is a resistant architectural masterpiece.
