At Midtåsen, visitors can admire the house of an important shipping businessman and boat owner. The house impresses with its architectural style (designed by Arnstein Arneberg), considering the fact that it represents the years when it was built: the 1930’s. The most impressive thing about this house is not its actual architecture, but the panorama that it offers on the Sandefjord area. The architect’s family used to live in the house until recently, but nowadays, the house belongs to the government.
