Tønsberg is an old town and this shows, given the fact that it presents a wide range of ruins that date from the oldest times. King Håkon Håkonsson's Royal Court from Tønsberg is a sight that is definitely worth seeing, especially for the ones that love old buildings and the history they carry. This royal court was built around the year 1250 and its ruins were excavated in the 20^th century. Considering their ancientness, they are preserved very well and they are opened to the public at Nedre Langgate.
