Region Vestfold presents a wide range of historical evidence dating from the Viking era, especially Viking mounds that carry the pattern of brave fights and various legends. One of these representations of the Viking culture is located at Haugar, the place where three princes (all brothers and sons of the King of Trøndelagen) died during a battle and were buried. As a result, in 1971, a monument was constructed here, to commemorate them and their brave actions.
