Bøkkerfjellet is the name given to an actual mountain that is located right in the middle of the Larvik town. Back in the Middle Ages, this mountain was a very important strategic point that helped the representatives of the fire post supervise the whole town and be aware of any dangers. Nowadays, the Bøkkerfjellet Mountain (which can be translated with “barrel maker”) is a great viewpoint, offering the perfect panorama over the entire Larvik town.
