Region Vestfold is famous for a great variety of things, be it the case of historical or cultural events, but among these, this region is famous for its... bells. Tønsberg, which is located in Vestfold, hosts the only Norwegian bell foundry. There is no surprise that the bells (including church bells) in this region are impressive. For example, the Bell Tower on Torgers Island presents a very heavy bell (that weights around 800 kg), a bell that was manufactured in 1910 and restored once since then, in 1992.
