The West Norwegian
Museum of Decorative art
is located in the city centre close to the Fish market. “People and
Possessions” is the permanent exhibition where you can see the 500 years old
“Treasury of Bergen” which is actually the silver wear from the Bergen
Goldsmith Association. At this exhibit, you can also see one of the most
beautiful and old violins in the world: Ole Bull’s violin. The museum
illustrates the developments of decorative art from the 16th century
to present times.
