The Old Bergen Museum is opened on a daily basis From May to August, except on May 17 the Norwegian National Day when it is closed. The museum area is opened all year. The old Bergen is an opened air museum that includes the old and fascinating districts of Skuteviken and Sandviken. The museum successfully portrays, with the help of 40 wooden buildings (shops, baker, barber, dentist and photographers), the life and architecture of the 18^th and 19^th century.
