The Leprosy
Museum also known as St George’s Hospital
is opened on a daily basis from May 20 to August 31 and it is included in the
“City Walk Tour”. St George
was a hospital for lepers for more than 500 years. Now this extraordinary
museum displays the “Bergen Collection of History and Medicine”. The building
dates back to the early 18th century and it now represents the
efforts made by Norwegian doctors to combat leprosy.
