Henrik Ibsen is definitely Norway’s
greatest writer and poet. He was born in Skien, but spent his teen years in
Grimstad, where he accomplished his apprenticeship in a chemist’s shop. Today,
the chemist shop is part of Ibsen’s museum. The time
spent in Grimstad had a huge impact on the writer’s work. Works such as Catalina were written in Grimstad itself.
