Tourists can admire in Vestfold a great number of
monuments that commemorate various heroes. The Hall of Remembrance located in
Stavern, Larvik is a monument that commemorates the life of various Norwegian
sailors that died during the First World War and during the Second World War.
The monument is addressed to over 7000 navy sailors, but more names are added
on constant basis. The architecture of the monument found at Stavern was the concept
of Bjercke & Eliassen, in collaboration with the artist Nic. Schiĝll.
