Drammen museum is located in the heart of the city, on the southern side
of the river. The museums main building was once a
stylish country house on the property Marienlyst. The surrounding areas are
used for sports activities but the museum is shielded from the noise of the
outside world by a green natural barrier. Exhibits of the museum include items
from the historical and cultural background of Norway. The museum also
incorporates the largest two mansions of Drammen.
