The Dalane Folkmuseum was established in 1910. This museum is presently the regional museum for Dalane and its establishments: Egersund, Bjerkreim, Sokndal and Lund. The museum spreads all over Dalane and has many buildings in this area that make up the museum as a whole. The main building is in Sletteboe, 3 kilometres from Egersund’s center. The history of the museum in Egersund contains all sorts of buildings that tell the story of the region.
