The Bryggens Museum is located in the centre of Bergen and it is opened every day from May to August and from September to April it is opened on Sundays, Saturdays and Mondays. The museum focuses on the archaeological findings and excavations of Bryggen. The museum exhibits and illustrates cultural activities, handcrafts as well as commerce and shipping practice by people in the Middle Ages. Besides the permanent exhibitions, the museum houses some exceptional and interesting temporary presentations.
