Founded in 1825 by Wilhelm Frimann Koren
Christie, the Bergen Museum has on display the biggest collection of cultural
and natural history objects and artifacts in Norway. The museum is part of the University of Bergen and has two sections: The Natural
History Collection and The Cultural History Collection. Surrounded by beautiful
gardens the museum has some extraordinary exhibits of unique items such as:
Vikings art objects, enormous whale skeletons, superb archaeological findings,
botanical, geological and zoological objects from both Norway and
abroad that will absolutely fascinate any visitor.
