Torgalmenningen square is another popular meeting place in the town of Bergen and it is situated between Strandgaten, Ole Bulls pass and the Fish Market. Translated from Norwegian to English; Torgalmenningen means the market area, place or square. This square got its name after the great fire that devastated the entire city in the year 1702. Because this square is located in the centre of the city festivals like Bergen Game Festival and different concerts are held here.
