Grimstad boasts a huge archipelago which means many
islands being open to the public. At present, the islands belong to the city of
Grimstad, due
to the generosity of the Selskapet for Grimstad’s By Vel organization, which
purchased the islands from the farm owners and made these islands open to the
public. These islands have been well taken care of, and offer lovely scenery to
any visitors who should go there. Sandy beaches have also been
arranged to create a seaside like atmosphere
