Gamlebyen

Fredrikstad is the fifth largest city in Norway. The Old Town is framed by protection walls and the old bastions. If you visit the Gamlebyen you will see the Renaissance buildings and streets disposed in a traditional style. The Old Town is an architectural masterpiece featuring the Old Prison, the Victuals Store, the Town Hall, and the Municipal Museum. Last but not least, there is a church that originates from 1779.
