Built as a summerhouse for the Norwegian violin-virtuoso Ole Bull in 1873 the superb villa is located on the Island of Light. Ole Bull transformed its 175 acres estate into a magic realm by planting exotic trees and plants in the local pine forest and creating long trails, ponds and marquees. The villa and island are opened for visitors from May to August every day. The entrance fee is 30 NOK for adults and 10 NOK for children but if you are the owner of a Bergen card, you can visit this paradise island for free.
