Lake Mjosa

Lake Mjøsa is the largest lake in Norway. It has a surface area of around 365 square kilometres and has a maximum depth of 468 meters. The lake is located 100 kilometres south of Oslo. On the shores of the lake there are three establishments, namely Lillehammer, Hamar and Gjoevik. The lake may be used for water sports, but there is no other water traffic on Lake Mjøsa. There is only one large isle on the lake: Helgoeya, and other small islets.
