Insegran is an ancient fortress probably built as early as the 13th century. Unfortunately, you will only be able to see the ruins of this fortress, but it is an exciting experience that will remind you of the old Norse sagas. The ruins of the Insegran fortress lie on an isle which is located on the West of the Old Town. During the summer, the Insegran hosts several exhibitions and happenings. There is no ferry to bring you to the isle, but the isle can be reached using a motor vehicle if you cross the bridge.
