The Norwegian name for the Hanseatic Assembly Rooms is Schotstuene, and
it’s located in the centre of Bergen.
These are 3 rooms: Jakobsfjorden and Bellgaarden from 1702, Svensgaarden, from
1708 and Bredsgaarden from 1709 which was completely rebuilt in 1761. The rooms
were used by the tenements in winter period, they served meals here, they were
used as classrooms, the annual meeting and the court sessions were held here
and funerals were held in the assembly rooms as well.
