The Norwegian name for Haakon's Hall is
Haakonshallen and it is situated 600 meters distance from the Fish Market, in
the center of Bergen.
The Hall is the largest secular medieval structure in Norway. In the
medieval era it was used as a wedding chapel and for important occasions. The
Haakon's Hall caught fire in 1944, and it was restored and beautifully
redecorated shortly afterwards. Nowadays the Hall is used for concerts, and
important occasions.
