Gursli- molybdenum mines

The Egersund or Rogaland area is famous for its molybdenum mines. Molybdenum is a rare substance and it can be found in this part of Western Norway in the Gursli mines. The mines were opened in 1915. Today, you can take a pleasurable walk in the Gursli area. The tour is approximately 4 kilometres long and it’s a nice way to spend an evening with your family. During your tour you will find the Gullvannet River where you can fish, bathe or simply enjoy.
