Flekkefjord Port
is situated in Vest Agder in Norway.
The name of this port comes from the fjord called Flikka/ Flekke. The Port is a
small harbour with a great history behind it. In the past, it used to be the
smuggler’s port trading oak and helped in establishing a good relationship with
the Dutch during the Napoleonic Wars. The trade was favoured by the approximate
lack of tides, allowing ships to come and go at all times.
