Dreggegutten Statue
Located in the centre of Bergen the Dreggegutten is a 1.25 metres high statue. The Dreggegutten Statue represents a member of an Archery Brigade from Bergen. The Norwegian sculptor Sofus Madsen (1881-1977) designed and created this beautiful, unique statue. Dreggegutten was first presented to the public on May 13, 1956. The statue shows men kneeling down thus paying a tribute to the soldiers that died during the years of the Second World War (1939-1945).
