Castle
Hill, together with Castle Rock is among the most popular tourist attractions
in all Norway.
Castle Hill represents an actual ruin park that covers an area of 700 meters –
the ruins belong to the former 13th century castle called Castrum
Tunsbergis. Back in the 16th century, the old castle was destroyed,
but its ruins can be admired at Tønsberg, at an altitude of 63 meters. What do
the ruins present? The most important ruins include the King’s Hall and a
massive church.
