Hof
Church, also known as Vassås Church,
is one of the oldest and most important churches in the Hof region. Why? Mainly because it dates from
the Middle Ages and it has a rather interesting history. The church was first
opened to the public at the beginning of the 14th century; back
then, the church belonged to Griffenfeld
County. Further on, the
church was owned by the Jarlsberg
County, until it was
bought by the community. One of the most valuable pieces of the church is the
crucifix, which supposedly dates from the Middle Ages.
