A famous church in Fredrikstad is the Domskirke. The church was built on the western part of the Glomma River. The church boasts Gothic Revival style having being built in the mid 1800s. The stained glass windows were accomplished by Norway’s famous sculptor Emmanuel Viegeland, the brother of the more famous Gustav. These windows are very rare. The church features a park that has a view over the River Glomma.
